We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and trustworthy individual candidate to join our busy, inclusive multicultural school, who can offer us:

• Reliable assistance to the Site Supervisor with the cleaning, maintenance and development of the school premises and grounds
• Proven skills with painting and decorating, minor plumbing, carpentry and competent in the use of power and hand tools
• Knowledge to assess and carry out repairs and maintenance independently and commission experts where required
• Good communication skills and excellent customer service to all of our school community, working effectively with pupils, staff, visitors and other stakeholders
• A good knowledge of Health & Safety, fire precautions, regulations and policies and is willing to have ongoing health and safety training
• Basic ICT skills to meet the needs of the job
• Good use of your initiative, working flexibly as a team and independently to meet deadlines
• A commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of children and the whole school community
• Strong work ethics, good time management, helpfulness, honesty, kindness and a good sense of humour
• Is able to take direction from the Site Supervisor, School Business Manager and Headteacher, and follow school policies and procedures

Hours: 31 hours per week, 52 weeks a year

Please note: One year fixed term, 52 weeks a year (A. potential to extend to a permanent role for the right candidate. B. flexibility to work additional hours covering term-time Site Supervisor holidays, lets and commercial venue hire in the evenings and weekends)
